Chichiriviche Falcon state’s population located on the east coast, a 195km southeast of Santa Ana Coro. Monsignor Iturriza capital of the municipality. It has a population for 2000 of 5185 people. Chichiriviche is surrounded by this small islands or cays of fine white sand, west of the wetland wildlife refuge Cuare and south by the Golfete Cuare. Originally inhabited by Indians chip, your name is a voice caribbean which means “place where our sun is born.”
Chichiriviche has achieved sustained development of its tourism industry, with a service infrastructure that translates into luxury hotels, resorts, inns, restaurants, a network of marinas, shops and night entertainment sites.
The eastern region is characterized as the main destination of northwestern Venezuela. On the east side of Chichiriviche are four islands belonging to Morrocoy National Park, these are: Salt Cay, Cayo The Dead, Cayo Pelón and Cayo Peraza. To that joins the Continental Varadero Beach.
On the west side is the Wildlife Refuge Cuare; in this landscape marine coastal birds of various colors offer a wonderful spectacle.
On the south side opens Golfete Cuare, in whose waters played a large part of the fish fauna of the states of Zulia and Falcon. On the banks of golfete, on the cliff of Cerro Chichiriviche is located a cave called Cueva del Indio, with petroglyphs of more than 3500 years old. In this same area is the Grotto of Our Lady, instead of popular enthusiasm, devotion and pilgrimage.
To the north are the inland waters of North Beach, with more than 5 km in length, as well as the marine waters of Cayo drunk, which is a haven for migratory birds.
