Bello Horizonte is the ideal place for the ones who want to discover the biodiversity of the Peruvian humid tropical forest and to relax. Located about 20 kms northeast of the city of Puerto Maldonado, the lodge distinguishes itself by the location and the comfort it offers. With its 12 units of lodging, built in traditional Amazonian style, the lodge welcomes approximately 25 guests. Each bungalow consists of a bedroom, with double bed or twin beds, mosquito nets, bathroom (private or common) and balcony with hammock or chaises longues. The house where the hostel is located was built in the 1960s, made totally from wooden cedar, and after 6 months of intense refurbishments and construction, they opened the first and the only Backpacker Hostel in Puerto Maldonado in May 2008. We like to offer a place that is clean, very good facilities and create an atmosphere that makes people want to stay for long periods and is ideal to meet other travelers, and all this at an affordable price.
